Regime-Gated Spot Grid (classic, R6)¶
What it does: Places a ladder of buy and sell orders across a price range to earn small gains on each swing. A grid places buy orders below the price and sell orders above it, spread across a range. Each time the price drops to a buy and climbs back to the next sell, it earns the gap between them.
Style: Grid · Difficulty: Intermediate · Risk: medium · Ready: 0 of 2 variants
When people use it: It tends to work in sideways, swinging markets.
Markets it was written for: BTC, ETH; alts with wider ranges. Timeframes: Gate 4h; fills intrabar.

This needs grid trading, a feature that's coming. You can read how it will work, but you can't add it to your strategies yet.
Settings
| Setting | Default | Editable | What changing it does |
|---|---|---|---|
| Range width | 1.5 | No: coming later | How wide the price range is, measured in normal daily swings. Wider covers bigger moves before the grid stops, but each step earns the same while money is spread thinner; narrower trades more often but is more likely to be broken. |
| Number of grids | 30 | No: coming later | How many orders the range is split into. More grids mean smaller steps and more frequent, smaller trades (fees matter more); fewer grids mean bigger steps and fewer trades. |
| Spacing | Geometric | No: coming later | Arithmetic keeps the same price gap between orders; geometric keeps the same % gap, which suits wider ranges. |
How it works (as shown in the app)
- A grid places buy orders below the price and sell orders above it, spread across a range. Each time the price drops to a buy and climbs back to the next sell, it earns the gap between them.
- It only starts when the market looks sideways (Choppiness high, ADX low, volatility not rising), and it stops if a 4-hour candle closes outside the range by more than one normal swing (ATR). You choose whether it then sells everything or holds.
- It tends to work in sideways, swinging markets.
- Its main risk is a breakdown below the range: you end up holding a full bag at a loss. A breakout above the range means it sold out early and misses the rise.
- Show yourself the total money needed and the worst case before starting: the grid can end up fully bought at a loss if the price breaks down.
- Fees: each step must be larger than the round-trip fee, or the grid earns nothing.
- Coming later: this version needs the grid module, which Apathia doesn't have yet, so it can't be imported or run today.
Futures neutral grid (perp)¶
A futures grid that trades swings up and down inside a narrow range, with leverage.

- This futures version is neutral: it places orders on both sides and trades swings up and down inside an 8% range.
- The liquidation price must stay well outside the range (the module checks it is at least twice the range plus one normal swing away).
- Suggested leverage is at most 3x. On isolated margin, at 3x the exchange closes the position (liquidation) if the price moves about 33% against you, and you lose the margin you put into it. Keep your stop well inside that.
- Coming later: this version needs the grid module, which Apathia doesn't have yet, so it can't be imported or run today.
Warnings¶
- None yet: it can't be added.
