Install on Windows¶
Install Docker Desktop, download Apathia, and open the UI.
1. Install Docker Desktop¶
Install Docker Desktop for Windows. If the installer asks to turn on WSL 2, accept that.
Open Docker Desktop and wait until it is running. Leave it open while you use Apathia.
2. Download Apathia¶
Download the package from the Download page. In File Explorer, right-click the file and choose Extract All.
Open the unzipped folder. You want the folder that contains docker-compose.yml. If you only see another folder, open that one.
3. Open a terminal in that folder¶
- In File Explorer, open the folder that contains
docker-compose.yml. - Click the address bar, type
powershell, and press Enter.
PowerShell opens in that folder. Command Prompt works the same way: type cmd in the address bar instead.
4. Start Apathia¶
docker compose up --build
The first build takes a few minutes. Leave this window open. Closing it stops Apathia.
When the app is up, open http://localhost:8000. The first start creates secret keys in data/ next to the app.
